Once again a season of ROL has ended, it hasn't been the most active season of ROL history, and quite some players and teams seem to need a small break. After the summer holidays I hope to see a lot of teams and players returning with fresh energy. Together with hopefully some new RO: HOS news from Gamescon Cologne. Anyway on to the awards
Awards
Special notion goes out to core who wasn't eligible for an award, by follow up of the award rules in the rules section.
The awards are as follows:
Red Orchestra Ladder
Team Alc
RAGE
3rd Shock Army
Most Active Clan
Against the Odds
Crack Clan
All winning teams, congratulations with your awards. The next season will end just before the start of the winter holiday season at December the 1st. We at RO:Ladder hope you will all enjoy your summer and take some well deserved rest.
Note to all clans:
Remember that you can go inactive during the months july and august without losing your chance of winning an award.

Small interview from TWI, mainly speaking about Rising Storm mod:
For those too lazy to click, the most interesting part is:
John Gibson: Heroes of Stalingrad is deep in production and on schedule for a 2011 release. We'll be doing some semi-public beta testing later this year so fans should keep an eye out for announcements about that.
Lets hope the clanning community get a good representation in the beta!

In addition to this news, it's worth noting that the Darkest Hour Team have released a new update.
Briefly, here is what is on offer:
-Added Mantling.
-New tank - M36 Jackson "Slugger"
-New tank - Panzer III Ausf. N
-6 new maps
Lots of other things as well, all detailed on their site.
For me though, the biggest addition must be this:
Added a "Simple HUD Colours" checkbox to the game's HUD settings, which sets the team colours back to Red/Blue for colourblind players (and people who really hate green/gold)

Once again a season has ended, it wasn't the most active season, but it was a lot better than some expected it to be, there is still a lot of fierce competition going on. Some of the old top clans went inactive but left the path for other clans to take their places. Clans fought hard for the remaining spots or to stay on top, and I applaud to them all.
Awards
Special notion goes out to Enclave and 3.SA who went inactive during the last month of the season, and by enforcement of the rules must be disqualified from participation in the awards.
Awards are as follows:
Red Orchestra Ladder
Team Alc
RAGE
Full Metal Jacket
Most Active Clan
Against the Odds
All winning teams, congratulations with your awards. On to the next season which will end just before the start of the holiday season at July the 1st, have fun and relax with a nice eastern breakfast, and then all return with fresh energy to fight.
Note to all:
Soon a different betting system will be implemented. Due to major differences with the current system, the entire economy will likely get a massive change, to keep things even with this transition all credits will be reset to a certain, yet to be determined, amount.

End of Season
Just a reminder that the Season is finished at the end of this month, so good luck to the clans fighting it out for the awards.
New additions
Would like to introduce a new Polish clan to ROLadder, who have recently registered and are ready for combat.
We are sure everyone will give =Raginis= a warm welcome!
Activity
Match activity is still looking very healthy showing there is still life in the community!.
Rules
Yes, these things we are all supposed to follow
Just a reminder to all clans to make sure screenshots are uploaded after a match. It's a quick process, so if you have any issues please contact an Admin.
heroesofstalingrad.de
A new German community site for Heroes of Stalingrad is now up and running.
The site is mainly German, but there will be English content from time to time appear.
The guys over at the site have a great interview with the Darkest Hour team which you can read it here (It's in English).
For anyone who missed their original post on the TWI forums, here is the description they give for the site:

A few weeks ago a small crew of RO-maniacs released the first inofficial forums of "Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad".
The primary function of this new internet platform is certainly to inform about news, facts and trivia of RO oS and good ol' "Red Orchestra" with all its mods and extensions.
The second intention is to build up and consolidate the german community and, of course, to shorten the waiting period. If you just like to discuss some moderate "off topics" you will be also right.
Revenge of the Turul
Completely unknown to me until a few days ago is a new addon for Ostfront!
I am trying to sort out an interview with the guys involved, but for now, this is lifted from their website:
The Revenge of the Turul is a add-on for Red Orchestra Ostfront 41-45 that focuses on the battles of the Royal Hungarian Army during the Second World War on the Axis side from battle on the Don river (summer of 1942) to the Defense of Budapest (1944-1945).
